Jenny Boyer is Rootology's Managing Director. She is responsible for product specifications, and tree root and soil moisture control research and development. Jenny has a Bachelor of Art with Honours and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Science (Horticulture (Arboriculture)) from The University of Melbourne Burnley Campus. She is a member of the Working Group writing the Australian Standard for the ‘Protection of trees on development sites' for Standards Australia. Jenny is also currently studying for a Master of Forest Science by Research at The University of Melbourne. Her research is looking at the response of established amenity trees to root pruning and crown pruning.
Jenny has more than 10 years experience in solving tree root and soil moisture problems. In the last decade, she has completed over 10,000 projects and become renowned as the leaders in working with a variety of membranes, textiles and service sealing materials. Our comprehensive practical experience means we have a thorough understanding of tree root, soil moisture and soil structure relationships for a huge variety of tree genera and species.
Jenny has developed an ongoing relationship with many metropolitan and rural Councils throughout Australia. She consults to golf clubs, government departments, structural engineers, soil engineers, landscape architects, horticulturists, building and construction companies and insurance companies.
Jenny regularly participates in tree root and soil moisture control research projects and maintain close contact with leading arboriculturists, architects, engineers and related professionals. This ensures that we keep abreast of the latest developments within the industry. Rootology is an active member of Parks and Leisure Australia, a founding member of the International Society of Arboriculture Australian Chapter, a member of the Local Government Tree Resources Association, a founding member of the International Association of Consulting Arborists, a member of the International Erosion Control Association and a member of the Australian Industry Group.
